Three Gardening Tools That You Should Get Your Hands On

Keeping a garden in tip top shape might be something of a difficult job to do if you don't have the right tools for the job. Imagine yourself playing football without all the protective gear that you would obviously need to be able to play well and not injuring yourself in the process. It would be quite difficult for someone to play a full game of football without shoulder pads, a helmet, gloves and everything else.

Gardening might not be as physically demanding as football, but you do not expect to cut grass, branches and shrubs with your own bare hands now would you? That would be silly, let alone pointless since you wouldn't be doing a very good job at all.

Gardening demands more than just a trim here and there. Sometimes it needs a little bit more attention, a closer look if you will. And what better way to maintain your garden than by having the proper tools for the job, right?

1. A lawn mower for all your lawn cutting needs.

Most homes usually have to take care of two lawns, the one in the front yard and the one out back. For you to be able to effectively cut down or mow that lawn of yours, you are going to need something more than just shears.

A lawn mower is perhaps the best tool for this specific job. If you are a little strapped for cash, you do not have to buy a motorized lawn mower or those things that practically look like ATVs but more tame. You can simply settle for the basic one, the human-powered one that relies on nothing but simple physics and physical effort to get the job done.

2. A rake

If you live in the suburbs, you probably have a tree or two in the front lawn and in the backyard as well. Every time those leaves start coming down from the trees, it is your responsibility to pick those dead leaves up.

Instead of putting on a pair of gloves and manually picking them up across your lawn or backyard, you should think about getting yourself your very own rake for you to use at home. These things are practically like mops but instead of having strips of cloth at its end you have a comb-like piece of metal that literally rakes in dead leaves without you having to bend down to reach for them or pick them up patch by batch. With a rake, you could pile all the dead leaves in one big patch so you could put them all in a sack at once.

3. Pruning shears

Since you are not just working with grass in your garden, you are also probably going to need a pair of pruning shears that you might find to be quite the useful tool around. These are practically scissors that are specially designed to cut plants, shrubs and bushes or small branches to whatever shape you wish these to have.
